News - Hardware Upgrade!

Hi folks, Having been using an old Pentium D 820 for quite a long time, I have decided to upgrade my system. So I bought the new Intel Core i7 2600K CPU, Biostar TZ68A+ Motherboard, 8GB G.Skill RipjawsX 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and a FSP Saga II 500W PSU.

The old PC was quite lagging when painting some hi-res images in Corel Painter. Also I had only a 2GB RAM which was hardly enough for anything. The new i7 CPU was very tempting to purchase from a lot of reviews I have had read. I will assemble all the hardware tomorrow and I hope the performance increase will be worth the money. I'm waiting to render some hi-res 3D scenes in the new rig. :)
*Update* It's extremely fast! 8 render buckets in the place of 2.

Lamborghini Aventador 2012 (Work in Progress)

 The new Lamborghini Aventador is a design marvel! Looks a bit like a blend of Murcielago and Reventon, but still very unique and super stylish. One of the hottest car I've ever seen. Unfortunately no blueprints are available. So I'm trying to model from the reference photos and videos I have collected. For the top view I'm using the Lamborghini Reventon's blueprint as a basic guide as they both look roughly the same. I hope I can finish this with some fair looking results.

Building the front area now, the mesh is not perfect but I will tweak it later once I get the basic shape right.
